NX Audio launches FirstPlay premier DJ Solution
NX Audio’s FirstPlay offers a comprehensive and intuitive feature-set that equips any user to take to the DJing. Boasting many great features, FirstPlay seamlessly interfaces with any PC or Laptop or Mac via a standard USB connection, thereby facilitating play on the go. It also allows users to choose songs and sound files from their existing collections, and supports a variety of digital music files including M4A, AIFF, WAV, MP3, FLAC and OGG. Bundled with the easy to use MixVibes Cross LE DJ software, The FirstPlay offers an impressive level of dynamic control, allowing users to record mixes on the go, and later be shared on SoundCloud etc.
The only system in its class to feature an in-built sound card, the FirstPlay employs the ever popular two decks and a mixer setup with crossfader. The central mixer affords independent features for each deck, which includes allowing users to tweak the Treble, Bass & Gain for individual tracks, along with a variety of other effects. It also features two large touch-sensitive jog wheels for each deck that provide a natural vinyl feel for scratching, cueing, etc. Apart from using the touch-sensitive jog wheels to simulate the effect of scratching and altering the pitch of a song, DJs can also combine two separate tracks and match the tempos to provide professional quality mixes.
Additionally, it also provides professional features like reverse and preview, which familiarizes amateur DJs with the kind of functions world-class DJs use. The FirstPlay also has a cool feature that automatically matches the tempo from one song to the next. Also, navigating through folders and tracks on the FirstPlay is simplified, thanks to its smart and intuitive design. The unit is compatible and works with other popular DJ programs such as Traktor, VirtualDJ and Algoriddim Djay as well.
Among all of the features mentioned above though, the prime highlight of the FirstPlay remains its ease of use and operation, coupled with its low cost factor, both of which makes it an ideal for amateur DJs who wish to get a feel of operating on a professional workstation.
